Wednesday, August 25 2026
<\/strong>Several streets will be closed to vehicle traffic and pedestrians as part of the Justice Center construction project. Now through Monday, August 31, the alleyway north of the justice center construction lot is closed. E. Simpson Avenue, between S. King Street and S. Willow Street, will be closed on Wednesday, August 26.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, May 12 2026
<\/strong>The closure, which went into effect on May 12, will now extend through Friday, June 5, reopening on Saturday, June 6. The road was originally expected to reopen on Wednesday, June 3. <\/span>The additional time will allow DPR\/GE Johnson crews to finalize water and sewer lines for the Teton County Justice Center. <\/span>Sidewalks will also remain closed, and street parking will be prohibited. Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should use alternate routes and follow all construction signs, detours, and parking restrictions to ensure public and worker safety. <\/span>Teton County thanks the community for its patience as work continues on the Justice Center, a once\u2011in\u2011a\u2011generation investment in public safety, justice, and community pride.<\/span><\/p>\n

East Simpson Avenue will close between South King Street and South Willow Street in Jackson as DPR\/GE Johnson crews install new sewer and water lines for the Teton County Justice Center project.
The closure will remain in place through Wednesday, June 3, 2026<\/strong>. Sidewalks in the area will also be closed, and street parking will be prohibited. Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should use alternate routes and follow all construction signs, detours, and parking restrictions to ensure public and worker safety.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, April 8, 2026<\/span>
<\/strong><\/span><\/span>Crews will begin to install a shoring system along the perimeter of the site.\u00a0<\/span>Additional equipment and construction workers will be in\/around the site during this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Please adhere to construction signs, detours, and parking notices, which are in place to protect both the public and our construction team. This remains an active work zone, and drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday, March 27, 2026
<\/strong><\/span>Street parking and sidewalks along S. King Street and E. Simpson Street\u00a0will remain closed through\u00a0April 15, 2027<\/b><\/u>. Demolition work on the Teton County Courthouse is ongoing, and construction trucks will continue to enter and exit the site between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Flaggers will be present to guide both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.\u00a0<\/span>A Jersey barrier (a sloped concrete barrier used to separate traffic\/construction zones) will be placed along S. King Street and E. Simpson Avenue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuesday, March 10, 2026
<\/strong><\/span>Street parking and the sidewalks along S King Street, as well as the sidewalks along E Simpson in front of the Courthouse, will be closed from Tuesday, March 10 through March 13.\u00a0<\/span>As demolition activities proceed, crews are implementing dust\u2011control measures and continuously monitoring air quality. As always, please keep an eye out for construction signs, detours, and parking notices as they are in place to help keep both you and our team safe.\u00a0This is an\u00a0active construction area\u00a0and\u00a0encourage drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians to use alternate routes whenever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/span>In the morning on Thursday, March 5, crews will begin setting up perimeter fencing around the main Teton County Courthouse building as they prepare for demolition work, which will begin on Monday, March 9<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The alley north of the Courthouse will be closed from March 5 through March 13.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>In the morning of Friday, February 20, crews will begin putting up site fencing and blocking off the sidewalk and street parking along the north side of E Simpson Ave.<\/p>\n

October 16, 2025
<\/strong>The Teton County Courthouse and Hansen Courthouse. The land next to the Teton County Administration Building has been cleared for modular buildings. These buildings will be used to support current courthouse functions while the Justice Center is built.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
