Now through Monday, August 31, the alleyway north of the justice center construction lot is closed. E. Simpson Avenue, between S. King Street and S. Willow Street, will be closed on Wednesday, August 26.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 12 2026<br \/><\/strong><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The closure, which went into effect on May 12, will now extend through Friday, June 5, reopening on Saturday, June 6. The road was originally expected to reopen on Wednesday, June 3. <\/span><span>The additional time will allow DPR\/GE Johnson crews to finalize water and sewer lines for the Teton County Justice Center. <\/span><span>Sidewalks will also remain closed, and street parking will be prohibited. Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should use alternate routes and follow all construction signs, detours, and parking restrictions to ensure public and worker safety. <\/span><span>Teton County thanks the community for its patience as work continues on the Justice Center, a once\u2011in\u2011a\u2011generation investment in public safety, justice, and community pride.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>East Simpson Avenue will close between South King Street and South Willow Street in Jackson as DPR\/GE Johnson crews install new sewer and water lines for the Teton County Justice Center project.<br \/><strong>The closure will remain in place through Wednesday, June 3, 2026<\/strong>. Sidewalks in the area will also be closed, and street parking will be prohibited. Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should use alternate routes and follow all construction signs, detours, and parking restrictions to ensure public and worker safety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 11 2026<br \/><\/strong><span>On May 11, elected officials, project partners, Teton County staff, and community members gathered to official break ground on the Teton County Justice Center, marking a major milestone in a project years in the making. This remains an active work zone, and drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\"><strong>Friday, March 27, 2026<br \/><\/strong><\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Street parking and sidewalks along S. King Street and E. Simpson Street\u00a0<u data-ogsc=\"\">will remain closed through\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">April 15, 2027<\/b><\/u>. Demolition work on the Teton County Courthouse is ongoing, and construction trucks will continue to enter and exit the site between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Flaggers will be present to guide both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">A Jersey barrier (a sloped concrete barrier used to separate traffic\/construction zones) will be placed along S. King Street and E. Simpson Avenue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\"><strong>Tuesday, March 10, 2026<br \/><\/strong><\/span><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Street parking and the sidewalks along S King Street, as well as the sidewalks along E Simpson in front of the Courthouse, will be closed from Tuesday, March 10 through March 13.\u00a0<\/span><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">As demolition activities proceed, crews are implementing dust\u2011control measures and continuously monitoring air quality.
